Pet diagnostics include our in-house laboratory and advanced digital imaging equipment. Our Kettering animal hospital uses diagnostic technology to build a more comprehensive view of your pet’s entire health and wellbeing. Not everything can be found from a physical exam! Lab work and digital X-rays can both help us understand different aspects of your pet’s health.
Our Full Comprehensive Lab
At Hills and Dales Veterinary Clinic, we feature a full in-house lab. With it, we can test a variety of samples to pinpoint any abnormalities or to simply take a baseline diagnostic for your healthy pet. We use lab work for pre-anesthetic testing, too, to make sure your pet is able to handle an anesthetic procedure. Some of the tests we can run include:
- Complete blood count
- Blood chemistry panels
- Urinalysis
- Fecal tests
- Cytology (analyzing skin cells)
- And more
Detailed Digital Imaging
Our digital diagnostic imaging equipment is easier to produce, more efficient, and of a higher quality. We take digital X-rays to examine your pet’s internal structures. Digital radiography can help diagnose many different conditions including, but not limited to:
- Fractures or breaks
- Foreign body ingestion
- Gastrointestinal obstruction
- Tumors
- Diseased organs
- And more
These digital images are particularly efficient. We’ll have a clear and diagnostic quality image just moments after taking the X-ray and will be able to share the image easily with you or a certified radiologist for a second opinion if needed.
Fast and Efficient Treatment Plans
Regardless of your pet’s ailment, our diagnostic equipment can help our team determine the presence of internal disease. Between extensive lab work and detailed digital imaging, we can quickly diagnose the problem accurately and be able to issue a treatment care plan during the same visit.
